Casa Cubista’s terracotta designs are made in a family-run Portuguese pottery workshop, with over 200 years of intergenerational experience. Each piece is thrown on a potter’s wheel before being hand painted by the head potter’s aunt for a truly unique quality.
Founded in the pretty Portuguese fishing town of Olhão, Casa Cubista works with a variety of talented artisans around the country to create bright and bold pieces – the brand is driven by a passion for craft and heritage, combined with an unerring eye for contemporary design. The name ‘Casa Cubista’ refers to the uniquely tessellated white houses of Olhão’s old town.
Due to their handmade nature, each piece is unique – and therefore may vary slightly from the image shown.
Prior to first use, all pieces should be washed by hand in hot soapy water, well rinsed and allowed to air dry.
To maintain the integrity of the pieces (i.e., colour, glaze), dishwasher use is not recommended.
The base of jugs, mugs and vases may initially sweat. This is normal, and will decrease over time. Please protect delicate surfaces that may be affected by watermarks.
Some marks in the glaze are natural and expected, as is some crazing. This will not affect the use or durability of the pieces.
